The 21-year-old driver will join the Porsche Motorsport Junior program from 2016 and will enter with the grant of €200 in the prestigious and very competitive Porsche Mobil000 Supercup.

“Obviously I’m very happy. It changes a lot of things for me now with a very good program with the Supercup. It was the objective at the start of the year to participate in these selections and to have the chance to be taken. It's only happiness, but the big period of work is about to begin. »

If Mathieu Jaminet does not yet know which team he will enter in the Supercup, a double program could well be on the agenda. “The Supercup will probably not be my only championship on the menu. The first option would be to do the German Carrera Cup. I could also try to go to the Asia Cup or come back to the France Cup.

All the drivers who compete in the Supercup and who play the leading roles are doing a double program, and Porsche wants me to do that. If it's in Germany, it would be better, because I will be able to ride with Supercup entrants, and that would allow me to ride at the same level. »

Mathieu Jaminet hopes to follow the example of his predecessors who were able to shine in the Porsche fold. “The Supercup is the first step for 2016.
