FIA GT – Team WRT wins at home

Team WRT scores another victory by winning on home soil in Zolder. Laurens Vanthoor quickly placed his Audi R8 LMS ultra in second place to threaten the Lamborghini LP 560-4 Reiter of Stefan Rosina. The Slovak gave the lead of the race to the local driver by going off the track at turn 1. Peter Kox still secured second place for the #24 which started from pole. The podium is completed by the R8 LMS ultra of René Rast and Niki Meyr Melnhof.

Andreas Zuber and Mike Parisy took fourth place at the wheel of the McLaren MP4-12C n°10 from Sébastien Loeb Racing. The team of the nine-time world champion had another difficult day since the sister car of the boss driver accompanied by Alvaro Parente had to start from the first row before being disqualified for an illegal overboost pressure. The #9's race ended six laps from the finish following contact in the peloton which was also penalized by a drive-through. Edward Sandström and Frank Stippler, victorious in the Championship race at Nogaro, secured a top five finish.

Andreas Simonsen and Sergei Afanasiev take Pro-Am victory on the Mercedes SLS AMG from the HTP Gravity-Charouz team which finished in sixth place. The German team also won the Gentlemen Trophy with first place for Jan Stovicek and Petr Charouz.
