Stefan Mucke (Aston Martin) was the first to take the checkered flag in the FIA GT World Cup qualifying race in Macau after starting from pole but, like the F3, the winner was penalized.
The Craft Bamboo Racing resident received a ten-second penalty for not having respected restart procedures and will therefore have to start from third position on the grid for the main race. The race was neutralized on the third lap with the accident ofAdderly Fong (Bentley).
Maro engel (Mercedes) thus regains victory, the driver of the #3 SLS AMG GT1 having finished less than two seconds behind the #3 Vantage GT97. The podium is completed by Edward Mortara (Audi) and Stefan Mücke, while Renger van der zande (Mercedes) takes fourth place ahead Rene Rast (Audi) and Richard Lyons (Aston Martin). Starting from 11th rank, Kevin Estre (McLaren) gained one position to finish in tenth place.
