GT1: Enge and Müller win

Tomas Enge and Alex Müller (#9 Aston Martin DB7) take their first victory of the season in the qualifying race at Silverstone. The duo is ahead of the No. 23 Nissan GT-R JRM of Krumm-Luhr.

Starting from pole, Mike Hezemans and Andreas Zuber hoped to take advantage of this advantageous position to achieve victory in the qualifying race at Silverstone. But the No. 11 Exim Corvette got off to a bad start and fell to 3rd place behind the No. 23 Nissan and the No. XNUMX Exim Corvette.Aston Martin DB9 n°7.

The battle for first place was therefore between the JRM crew and the Young Driver AMR crew. The race was decided during the round of pit stops, with the Aston Martin failing to overtake the Nissan on the track.

The Young Driver AMR took first place after these stops, taking advantage of a confusion by the JRM team during the change of drivers. This error cost the victory to the crew of the #23 Nissan, which still finished ahead of the #06 Corvette Z11 which started on pole.
