GT1 – Hexis Racing maintains its rage to win

Starting from the front row alongside the Audi R8 LMS of Team WRT driven by Laurens Vanthoor and Adam Carroll, Frédéric Makowiecki and Stef Dusseldorp were counting on taking the lead to end this season on a good note on the Donington circuit where the McLaren MP4-12C drives at home. The mission is fulfilled for the men of Philippe Dumas who sign the victory ahead of the polemen of the event, while the second McLaren led by Alavaro Parente and Grégoire Demoustier completes the podium after starting from the back of the grid.

Peter Kox and Stefan Rosina fell short of the podium with the Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 without being able to counter the impressive comeback of the second McLaren. THE Mercedes All-Inkl.com's SLS AMG completes the top six, with fifth place going to Marc Basseng and Markus Winkelhock who take two additional points from their direct Championship rivals Michael Bartels and Yelmer Buurman, drivers of the Vita4One BMW Z4. The German was battling with the two Mercedes when contact forced him to go to the pits at the end of the race after damaging a rim. The leaders' challengers for the title only take ninth place but are only three points behind before the final.

The start of the Championship race will be at 12:45 p.m. local time.
