GT1: Turner-Mücke must give up

Title hopes are going up in smoke for Stefan Mücke and Darren Turner while the crew occupies second place in the Championship with 11 units of Lucas Luhr and Michael Krumm (JRM). L?Aston Martin DB9 n°8, damaged when the German went off the track during prequalifying yesterday, had to withdraw from the rest of the weekend. Markus Winkelhock and Marc Basseng, drivers of the No. 38 All-Inkl.com Lamborghini, now represent the most serious threat to the leaders, but the German crew is 30 points behind (33 points available per weekend) .

The Young Driver AMR will only have the No. 9 DB7 of Alex Müller and Tomas Enge to defend his first place in the Teams Championship. But the German team only has an 8-point lead over JRM, which is in the best situation to win both titles this weekend in Argentina. Hexis AMR can still create a surprise even if the French team is 29 units behind Young Driver AMR.
