Starting on pole after his victory in the qualifying race, the?Aston Martin DB9 n°7 of Tomas Enge-Alex Müller was unable to retain the benefit of its advantageous position. The Young Driver's car was overtaken during the restart by the No. 23 Nissan GT-R of Michazel Krumm-Lucas Luhr. The battle for first place remained intense until the last lap of the race.

The No. 06 Corvette Z11 of Mike Hezemans and Andreas Zuber once again finished in third place, having already claimed the podium in the qualifying race. The crew showed good performances throughout the weekend and placed ahead of the No. 9 Aston Martin DB3 from Dusseldorp-Piccione.

A surprising accident occurred between the No. 9 Aston Martin DB8 of Stefan Mücke and the No. 22 Nissan GT-R of Richard Westbrook. The two cars made contact when Richard Westbrook attempted an overtaking maneuver on the Aston Martin. A few seconds later, Stefan Mücke deliberately collided with the Nissan, causing the race to be interrupted.
