The flawless performance of Krumm and Luhr

The #23 JRM Nissan GT-R of Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr was more than comfortable at Paul Ricard. After winning the qualifying race on Saturday, the German crew took maximum points by winning the Championship race the following day and at the same time took control of the Championship with 14 points ahead of Markus Winkelhock and Marc Basseng (Lamborghini Murcielago n°38 All-Inkl.com).

Michael Krumm was in charge of the start of the second race, a perilous moment when an entire weekend can be destroyed in an instant. “The most important thing was to get through the first corner without incident, which we did. Tomas (Enge, Aston Martin n°7) gave me a hard time in the first laps, as I expected. It took a while to get the tires up to temperature, but I was able to dig a little ahead when I found the grip. The car was magnificent, it was a perfect weekend. »

Lucas Luhr could be satisfied with the lead taken by his teammate at the time of the relay, the stop not having gone as planned. “ I saw that we had a little problem with the right rear wheel. I still had a good lead coming out of the pits, but Darren (Turner, No. 8 Aston Martin) was attacking hard and I told myself when I saw him coming back that it was going to be close. I was able to control the race when the tires came up to temperature, but I didn't want to put too much strain on them. To achieve two victories is absolutely magnificent. »
