Audi Team WRT fires first at Nogaro

Tomas Enge made his mark at the start of the race by quickly taking the lead in the event contested in light rain while he only started from seventh place in his Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo. The Czech was able to build a good lead before going to the pits, but his teammate Albert von Thurn und Taxis was only able to secure the last step of the podium in the face of the return of the Team WRT drivers. Stéphane Ortelli with Laurens Vanthoor took the victory ahead of the sister car #33 of Oliver Jarvis and Frank Stippler.

The #24 Lamborghini Gallardo was even on the verge of finding itself at the foot of the podium, with Grégoire Demoustier relentlessly attacking the German in the final moments of the race. There McLaren MP4-12C occupied second position at the exit from the pits, but the Frenchman was unable to contain the return of the two R8 LMS. Hexis Racing can still have the satisfaction of finishing ahead of the Ferrari 458 n°3 of Toni Vilander and Filip Salaquarda who started on pole with the time set by the Finn.

The start of the Championship race will be given tomorrow from 14:15 p.m.
