Ecurie Scotland will have a busy schedule this season, entering full-time in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the British GT Championship with a BMW Z4 GT3.

Ecurie écolete full-time in Blancpain

After taking 20th place in the general classification at the 24 Hours of Spa by entering a Aston Martin DBRS9, Ecurie Scotland has announced its commitment to compete in the full Blancpain season Endurance Series with a BMW Z4 GT3 which will also be present at the British GT Championship. The Scottish team has already signed Andrew Smith and Joe Twyman and will soon complete the crew with a third driver. The team is re-engaging in Endurance with important objectives for the future.

Hugh McCaig, the director of Ecurie Scotland, does not hide the fact that he would like to see the colors of his team again 24 Hours of Le Mans. “This is an exciting development for Ecurie école. We looked at several options for 2012 after competing in the Spa race last year, but I believe that with the team and the BMW Z4 we have the right combination to succeed. We also have ambitious and talented young pilots who have proven their commitment to the program in a difficult economic context. Ultimately, we want to return to Le Mans (2nd in category and 8th overall in 1987) and this commitment is a very important step. »
