The 18-year-old Italian Matteo Cairoli was selected by Porsche following the International Cup Scholarship and will compete in the Supercup next year.

Huit au départ et un seul lauréat à l’arrivée. La sélection finale du Porsche International Cup Scholarship (programme de détection des jeunes talents) avait lieu au début du mois sur le tracé espagnol de Valencia. Au terme des deux journées de tests suivi d’une longue délibération du jury, c’est l’Italien Matteo Cairoli, 18 ans, qui a été choisi parmi les neufs concurrents. Les 200.000 € de bourse accordés permettront au pilote issu de la Carrera Cup italienne de s’engager en 2015 en Supercup, disputée en marge de certains Grands Prix de F1 of the calendar.

“It’s a dream to be selected by Porsche,” says Cairoli. first went through the car in the German ATS Formula 3 Cup. I felt good at the Valencia circuit and I'm really happy to have made a good impression. When Porsche told me that I had won the selection process, I couldn't believe it. I've only been flying for two years. I can't wait to get started. »

Small disappointment in the tricolor clan, since France had in Tom Dillmann and Côme Ledogar, just crowned in Carrera Cup France last weekend at Paul Ricard in the Var, during the GT Tour final, two major chances to win.
