Mücke-Turner return to the race

Third in the qualifying race, second in the championship race, Stefan Mücke, Darren Turner and the Young Driver AMR piled up points during the 7th round of the season. The German and the Briton, discreet during the last rounds, returned to the podium, and pocketed 24 points. “This is more than we expected before the weekend, admits Mücke. The weather was an advantage on Sunday, as it was not too hot during the race. »

His teammate Darren Turner, for his part, is full of praise for his mount. ?Finishing third on Saturday and then moving up a notch on a circuit where we didn?t expect such a result is great, he exults. The mechanics made a fantastic pit stop, and Stefan was very strong, staying out of trouble, which is good for Stefan! (The German is often involved in racing events in which he is not necessarily innocent, editor's note). The car has probably never been better in its FIA GT1 World Championship configuration. »

Fourth in the general classification with three rounds remaining, 32 points behind the leaders, can the two men dream of a world crown? “Everything is always possible” according to Stefan Mücke.
