Phoenix aims for GT3 victory at Spa

Day after day, the line-up for the next 24 Hours of Spa is taking shape. The fight in the GT3 category, just like in GT2, promises to be superb given the forces present. After WRT announced crews including drivers of the caliber of Franck Biela and Stéphane Ortelli, Phoenix Racing, in turn, revealed its quartets.

On board these two Audi R8 LMS we will find the Germans Mike Rockenfeller (winner of the last 24 Hours of Le Mans), Lucas Luhr (double ALMS champion), Markus Winkelhock and Marc Hennerici (winner in G3 at Spa in 2009), the Swiss Henri Moser (3 FIA GT2007 champion) and Marcel Fässler (second at Le Mans and title at Spa in 2007), the Dutchman Anthony Kumpen (title holder on Corvette Phoenix), and the Greek Alex Margaritis (former driver of DTM).

The objective: victory in the GT3 category. Not surprising given the level of the crews. Note that Fässler, Margaritis and Moser were last year at the wheel of the Phoenix Racing R8 having managed to finish 3rd in this Belgian double round, although competing in the G2 category.
