Porsche presents its new 911 GT3 R

Porsche a présenté au Nürburgring sa nouvelle 911 GT3R based on the GT3 RS production model. This new model will be visible on the biggest GT events such as the Blancpain GT Series or VLN.

The weight distribution has been optimized for better balance when cornering at high speeds. The center of gravity has been improved thanks to the new lighter parts which make up the new Stuttgart frame, in particular with a windshield made of polycarbonate.

The new 911 GT3 R will be powered by the flat 6 4l similar to the road version, whose power will reach 500hp. Gear changes will be done by a 6-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters.

The 911 GT3 R adopted the centrally positioned radiator of its big sister, the 911 RSR which evolved in WEC, thus replacing the radiators placed on the sides which degraded the center of gravity. This new position also better protects the radiator in the event of an impact.

The braking system has also been revised with more efficient ABS and increased resistance for endurance racing. The brake discs will be 380mm in diameter at the front (steel and ventilated) and 372mm at the rear.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 R will be available from €429 and will be delivered from December 000.
