Mais après “a good private test session in Oschersleben which allowed us to put our finger on the right settings, we are now well into the game” rejoices the Frenchman. And as proof: the resident of Attempto Racing returned to the podium by finishing, this weekend, 3rd on the Nürburgring circuit, one day after having come close to pole position by 4 hundredths!

“I retained my 2nd place on the first lap but my set-up was less effective at the start of the race than that of leader Michael Christensen and he gained around two seconds in advance,” recalls the driver. At the end of the race, the situation reversed, which allowed me to get back to 4 tenths. Unfortunately, I locked the right front wheel when braking. I preferred not to resist my teammate's attack (Nicki Thiim, Editor’s note) to secure the 3rd place that Sean Edwards coveted. »

In any case, this podium gives new hope to Kévin Estre, who now hopes to shine in Hungary, July 26 to 28. A circuit that suits the French driver well, since he took pole position there in 2011 and won in 2012.
