Sébastien Ogier launches into ADAC GT Masters

Two weeks before Rally from Sardinia, Sébastien Ogier will return to action on the circuit this weekend by participating in the third round of the ADAC GT Masters held at the Lausitzring (Germany). The reigning world champion WRC will drive an ultra Audi R8 LMS entered by Team Prosperia C. Abt Racing with a power of 550hp alongside Markus Winkehock, 2012 FIA GT1 champion.

Sébastien Ogier n’en est pas à ses débuts sur circuit puisqu’il a déjà couru en Porsche Supercup à Monaco l’an dernier. “I'm not yet used to the Lausitzring but I had already gone to see an ADAC GT Masters race in Oschersleben. The field is really competitive but I will have a very fast and experienced teammate in Markus Winkelhock. We have already met and he showed me the interior. His advice will help me prepare perfectly for the weekend. In addition, Audi and Prosperia C. Abt Racing have never missed the podium this season. It will be difficult since I am a beginner in GT but I will do my best. »

Markus Winkelhock is also delighted to be able to play alongside Sébastien Ogier this weekend. “He’s not only good on the dirt but he also knows how to stay on the road! More seriously, it’s incredible to ride in ADAC GT Masters with a star like Sébastien Ogier. He doesn't just ride for fun, he is ambitious and hungry for success. Plus, we share one of the best GT cars in the world. »
