Super GT – Changed Calendar…Nissan Satisfied?

By organizing a round at the same time as the 6 Hours of Spa (May 2) and another on the same weekend as the test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (May 31), the Super GT was not doing Nissan's business. The Japanese manufacturer, which is making its return this year to the premier category ofEndurance, saw his ambition to call on drivers he employs in the Japanese series, notably Satoshi Motoyama, João Paulo Lima de Oliveira and even Tsugio Matsuda or Ronnie Quintarelli, undermined for the double round of the Sarthe race.

This morning, GTA, promoter of Super GT, released a modified version of its calendar. Initially scheduled for May 31, the Autopolis race has been postponed to November 1. The Thai round is moved from August 30 to June 21. Scheduled for July 26, Sugo is postponed to September 20.

If the clash of May 2 remains, that of the weekend of May 31 is therefore no longer relevant. However, four conflicts remain with the WEC, which will not help the affairs of Kazuki Nakajima.

Here is the revised version of the 2015 Super GT calendar:

1. Okayama – April 5
2. Fuji Speedway – May 3
3. Buriram (Thailand)? 21st of June
4. Fuji Speedway? August 9
5. Suzuki? August 30
6. Sportsland Sugo? September 20
7. Autopolis? November, 1st
8. Twin Ring Motegi? November 15
