V8 – Alexandre Prémat leaves Garry Rogers Motorsport

Alexandre Prémat will not drive the Volvo S60s fielded by Volvo Polestar Racing, the new name of Garry Rogers Motorsport which will enter this new model in V8 Supercars this year. The Frenchman announced the end of his contract with the team after spending two seasons there without achieving consistent results. The former pilot of DTM had started the last season well since he had won a fourth place in the Clipsal 500 but he finally finished in 19th place in the Championship while his teammate Scott McLaughlin took tenth position for his debut in the discipline.

“After considering my options here and elsewhere and after discussing with Garry (Rogers), I have decided to take a new path and have informed Garry that I will not be driving for GRM this year”, indicated Alexandre Prémat in a press release, without specifying what follow-up he would give to his career.
