V8 Supercars – Alex Prémat sparkling in Adelaide

Last year, Alexandre Prémat shone during the last round of the 2012 season before having to retire due to a problem with the cooling circuit of his Holden Commodore. The Frenchman was then fighting for the podium with the big names for whom this discipline no longer holds any secrets. On his momentum, he once again gave Jamie Whincup and others a hard time today during the first race of the inaugural round of the 2013 season, in Adelaide. The Garry Rogers Motorsport resident finished just off the podium behind winner Craig Lowndes (Holden Red Bull Triple Eight), Will Davison (Ford Performance Racing) and Jamie Whincup (Holden Red Bull Triple Eight).

In front, Craig Lowndes did not entertain the field as he finished more than 20 seconds ahead of Will Davison, his closest pursuer. The Australian signs his 90th career victory, equaling the record previously held by Mark Skaife. “It’s sensational, he exclaimed. To finish first in front of such a crowd is fantastic. The new car suits my driving style better than last year's. »

See you tomorrow for the second race of the weekend. With great confidence, Alexandre Prémat will, without a doubt, try to get a first podium and thus break the hegemony of the untouchable Triple Eight and Ford Performance Racing teams.
