V8 Supercars – Nissan unveils its Altima

Developed by Kelly Racing, founded by Todd and Rick Kelly, two drivers familiar with V8 Supercars racing, the Nissan Altima will make its V8 Supercars debut at the opening round of the 2013 season in Adelaide. Technically, the latter meets the new “Car of Future” regulations which allow the installation of a transverse gearbox, larger wheels (18 inches) and an independent rear suspension.

Todd Kelly, sidelined from the circuits this year following shoulder surgery, has big ambitions for this car “Our team has done a fantastic job designing an all-new V8 Supercar, including the engine, in just nine months. Once the sporting authorities have approved the aerodynamic package on the Altima, we will begin our tests to ensure that it can go as fast as it looks. »

We will therefore have to wait until the 2013 season to see the new Nissan against other Fords and Holdens, knowing that a Mercedes Class E will also make its appearance on the track.
