The reigning Australian V8 Supercars Series champion has extended his contract with the Triple Eight team.

V8SC – Jamie Whincup extends with Triple Eight

Triple Eight, which is known today as Red Bull Racing Australia, has just extended its flagship driver, Jamie Whincup who will begin his tenth season with the team. The five-time V2008 Supercars champion (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 8) will therefore be at the wheel of the Holden Commodore flanked by the Red Bull until 2015 inclusive. “I’m really happy to stay with the family. There have been big changes that have taken place since I've been here, the people, the car... The series is doing well and going in the right direction, so I'm really excited to confirm that I'm going to continue for at least the next few years. next two seasons.” Whincup said.

The Holden driver is aiming for his sixth title in 2014, to become the only man with six crowns in the discipline. The first round of the V8SC will be held in Adelaide for the Clipsal 500 (February 27 – March 2)
