This year in the FFSA Super Series, the behemoths of the GT1 category are giving way to GT3. And although many regret the departure of the Corvette C6.R and other Saleen S7R, the French GT championship still promises to be exciting.

Soheil Ayari was able to take the wheel of the Audi R8 last week, a car prepared by Oreca and which last year became one of the benchmarks in the category, notably winning the FIA GT3 title and several victories in the French championship. .

“I had already tested the car last October and it was following this test that Bruno and I chose the AUDI over its competitors. The ORECA team is still as efficient as ever and we have had a good handling of the car” declares the man who will also drive the Oreca O1 AIM at Le Mans next June.

Soheil will share the seat of the German car with his faithful companion Bruno Hernandez who believes he still needs some driving in order to get the season off to a good start:

“It's the first time I got into the car and this first day of testing reassured me in our choice. It is certain that there is a difference with the old GT1s, which I was used to driving, but the Audi R8 GT3 is a car that I must continue to discover and continue its adjustments in the next test sessions to be ready for Nogaro. »

The two men will now continue to train until the Easter Cups, the opening round of a championship that they already won together in 2006.
