Bourdais returns to GT

Sébastien Bourdais, if he left Toro Rosso and the world of Formula 1 during the summer, will not have left the year 2009 on this bad note. After a remarkable arrival in Superleague Formula, with a victory during his first weekend, Sébastien Bourdais returns to endurance. The Frenchman signed up with Larbre Compétition to compete in the last round of the French championship FFSAGT. The weekend of October 16-18, in Lédenon, Sébastien Bourdais will be the attraction of the field, making his return to endurance at the national level.

However, Sébastien Bourdais is not entering the unknown, having collaborated more than once with Larbre Compétition in the past. “ It was with our team that Sébastien competed in his first 24 Hours of Le Man.s (in 1999, editor’s note) » declares Jack Leconte, team leader. “ At the time when he was monopolizing ChampCar victories on American soil, Sébastien also took part in the 12 Hours of Sebring with us when we brought together three champions in a Ferrari 550. Maranello (Bourdais-Bouchut-Gollin). And then he also won the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps with Larbre Compétition… It’s interesting to see that Sébastien has not forgotten French motorsport despite his dimension as an international driver. It was supported by the FFSA at one time and here it is arriving in the French GT FFSA Championship. It?s a nice way to return the favor in a way. It?s a great opportunity for us to be able to count on him on this occasion and it?s also very good news for the championship as well as for the organizers. »

Sébastien Bourdais will team up from October 16 to 18 with Roland Bervillé, at the wheel of a Saleen S7-R, on the Lédenon circuit.
