Carrera Cup France: five for a title

At the end of five rounds and ten most competitive races, the final 2015 meeting of the Porsche Carrera Cup France, this weekend on the Castellet circuit, suggests a suspenseful finale. Five drivers can still mathematically claim the crown. Even if the 2014 vice-champion Maxime Jousse (Sébastien Loeb Racing) has placed an option on the title, the 19 points which separate him from Mathieu Jaminet (Racing Technology) do not constitute sufficient capital to protect him from a final offensive by the 2015 Young Talent designated driver. Qualifying will play an important part and will determine the rest of the weekend, explains Jousse. I have to qualify well to get the best out of the two races. I don't think that riding at home will put pressure on me, on the contrary. There is still work to be done before I can declare victory, so I remain 100% focused on my goal ».

« I am well aware that Maxime has the advantage at the moment but I will continue to fight, until the end, as I did in each of the races, proclaims Jaminet for his part. My team has never stopped supporting me and I will give everything to satisfy them. The qualifications will be decisive, you will have to be in the game straight away and, above all, there will be no catch-up session. » L'Espoir Carrera Cup 2014 Steven Palette (Martinet by Almeras), although a little behind at 27 lengths, is still able to win while Vincent Beltoise (Saintéloc) and Jim Pla (Racing Technology) must count on a massacre among their rivals to dream of the trophy.

The last two races of this 2015 season will take place on Saturday at 12:55 p.m. and Sunday at 15:25 p.m.
