CD Sport and Mirage Racing on pole at Le Castellet

CD Sport continues. Winner of one race out of two during the last meeting at Magny-Cours, Laurent Cazenave's team is in good shape at Le Castellet. Edouard Cauhaupé took pole during the first qualifying session in the Mercedes-AMG GT4 with a time of 2'14''216.

He is ahead of the returning Sacha Bottemanne and Lonni Martins in the Full Motorsport Audi by 23 thousandths and the BMW Espace Bienvenue of Ricardo Van der Ende and Benjamin Lessennes by 68 thousandths.

CMR and theAlpine A110 by Nicolas Cheers and Christopher Campbell take fourth place and will lead the Pro-AM on the grid.

The Am class is dominated by Christophe Carrière and Didier Dumaine on theAston Martin from AGS Events. In this category, Sylvain Caroff at the wheel of the ANS Motorsport Ginetta clashed during the session with the Mercedes Vic'Team driven by Olivier Jouffret.

In the second session, Vincent Beltoise achieved an exceptional time of 2'13''395, almost eight tenths ahead of all the cumulative qualifying times. The pilot of theAlpine No. 222 of Mirage Racing gradually saw his opponents tickle him, without joining him.

Mike Parisy came closest with the AGS Events Aston Martin, at 77 thousandths. Two Pro-AMs will therefore lead the grid, ahead of the first silver Thomas Drouet with the Mercedes AKKA-ASP.

Most of the teams having chosen the pro drivers for this session, the Pro-AMs monopolize the top 10 and the first AM only achieves the 21st time. This is Christophe Hamon at the wheel of the Full Motorsport Audi.

La Toyota semble en retrait ce week-end puisqu’Aurélien Panis ne signe que le 16e temps de la séance, au même niveau que Julien Piguet lors de la première.
