After several months of work this winter, the Paul Armagnac circuit in Nogaro (Gers) presented a new look before the 2024 season. The track known for hosting the Easter Cups in the spring has in fact completed the resurfacing work on the inaugurated circuit. in 1960.
Furthermore, the Nogaro circuit has evolved at turns 11 and 12 ((double Claude Storez curve) reducing the length of the track to 3 meters, only for motorcycles. For cars, Nogaro has indeed retained its traditional version and its 483 meters. This last sector has been modified “in order to guarantee greater safety for pilots”, we explain.
In addition, all of the vibrators have been repainted blue. A color that owes nothing to chance. This is the “Nogaro Blue” shade adopted by Audi in the 1990s. The German manufacturer created it in honor of Frank Biela following his double victory in the Gers in Supertourism (Easter Cups + Grand Prix) in 1993. The run-offs will use the colors of the tricolor flag, with the exception of the one which separates the car and motorcycle turns (in turns 11-12) which highlights our identity: Paul Armagnac, Nogaro, France, Gers.
This new look will be visible during the Easter Cups, from March 30 to April 1, where the FFSA French Circuit Championship will launch its 2024 season.
