Porsche Carrera Cup 2019 kicks off in Nogaro

For the first time since 2014, Porsche Carrera Cup France s’élancera sur la piste gersoise de Nogaro dans le cadre des Easter Cups 2019 (April 20-22). There will be no less than 17 men battling it out aboard the latest generation of the 911 GT3 Cup, with a power of 485 horsepower.

Two former champions return: Como Ledogar (titled in 2014 and who will drive for Team 85 Bourgoin Racing) and Christophe Stone (five times titled in Pro-Am between 2012 and 2017, he will be in Sébastien Loeb Racing). They will compete against the outgoing champions Contact Ayhancan directly in Pro and Nicolas Misslin in Pro-Am.

The Turk joined the Martinet by Alméras team in 2019. “With the return of former champions and Cup winners, the level will rarely have been as high as the one we will observe this season », underlines Philippe Alméras, the team principal.

The champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italy 2018 Gianmarco Quaresmini will defend the colors of Sébastien Loeb Racing. The one-make series also serves as a springboard for young talents, like Hugo Chevalier, retained by Martinet by Alméras after a Rookies title. The former French Formula 4 driver Adam Eteki will discover the discipline within Team 85 Bourgoin Racing.

Finally, Easter Cup spectators will certainly be keen to find David Hallyday (RMS). The singer and gentleman driver did not come to the Paul-Armagnac circuit in 2018 but will be present this time in the Am category.
