Faced with certain criticisms from drivers finding the GT4s sometimes too restricted by the Balance of Performance, SRO Motorsports will react accordingly in 2019.
This will involve a surplus of performance offered to the cars, while new arrivals are planned, in particular a new Porsche which will succeed the current Cayman. The GT4s should therefore be able to go 1″5 to 2″ faster per lap, via a new BoP.
Le FFSAGT finds its roots
Renewed in 2017 after the end of the GT3 era, the FFSA GT French Championship will undergo some adjustments next year. Only Pro-Am and Am crews will be allowed, closing the door to Silver-Silver tandems.
A Coupe de France will also be created, with the only admitted cars being GT4s that cannot reach the level of performance set by the new BoP 2019.
Note that compared to at the first calendar unveiled at Spa, the Magny-Cours round (Nièvre) was postponed by one week, to the weekend of September 14 and 15, 2019, in order to avoid a clash of dates with the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup round at the Hungaroring.
