FFSA GT – The new BMW imposes itself from the start

Beitske Visser and Dennis Marshall won Race 1 of the FFSAGT in Barcelona (Spain) at the wheel of the new BMW M4 GT4 entered by Schubert Motorsport. Starting from third position on the grid, the former World Series Formula V8 3.5 resident took the lead in the race before an interruption following a collision in the peloton.

The Championship may have experienced a turning point with the retirement of the #8 Ginetta Speed ​​Car of Pro-Am ranking leaders Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche due to a mechanical problem. The damage could have been more serious since their direct rivals for the title, Mike Parisy and Gilles Vannelet, only took ninth place at the wheel of the Porsche Cayman CD Sport n°30.

The podium was completed by the #2 TFT Racing Porsche of Ander Vilarino and Niki Leutwiler and the #888 Ekris Motorsport of Koebolt-Van der Ende.

The Am Championship also experienced twists and turns since the No. 111 CMR Gietta of Stéphane Tribaudini and Michael Petit, which started from pole, retired, offering the category victory to Philippe Marie and Olivier Gomez in the No. 34 Gemo Motorsport Maserati.
