FFSA-GT – Ferraris and McLarens stand out, the gaps are closing

McLaren, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari? There was something for everyone at the forefront of the qualifications, which have just taken place at Val de Vienne, the scene this weekend of the fourth meeting of the year of the Championship FFSA-GT. Among the amateur drivers, Grégoire Demoustier once again distinguished himself. At the wheel of the No. 4 McLaren MP12-12C, he took pole position in 1:34:196. This is 0?220 faster than the No. 8 Audi R42 LMS ultra of Saintéloc Racing, then driven by David Smet (better known as David Hallyday, Editor's note) and another Audi, that of the young Vincent Abril, from the Speedcar team. Fabien Barthez, current championship leader with Morgan-Moullin Traffort in the No. 458 Sofrev ASP Ferrari 16 Italia, is fourth in 1:34:481.

It is this last GT that we find at the top at the end of the qualification for the Pros. Morgan-Moullin Traffort took first place in 1:32:827. Behind him, Franck Perera (Porsche 911 GT3 R n°1) of Pro GT by Alméras is second at 0??140 while Gregory Guilvert in the Audi R8 LMS ultra n°42 of Saintéloc Racing, completes the top 3 at 0??148. The gaps are very tight among the A drivers since the first 11 in this qualification are held within 11 seconds! Note that the BMW Z4 n°5 of TDS Racing and the only Aston Martin entered this weekend, that of Team Speed ​​Car, were unable to start this last session after small outings during the first qualifying session.
