FFSA GT – Paul Ricard: Follow Race 1 in LIVE video

Follow the first round of the grand final of the FFSAGT 2022 live video.

As he had done in Albi, Jim Pla placed the Mercedes-AMG #16 of Akkodis ASP in pole position for Race 1 of the French FFSA GT Championship at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Fabien Barthez's teammate will thus be ideally placed when the night race begins this Saturday at 21:10 p.m.

The brand new Pro-Am champion in GT4 Europe will have at his side the fastest rider in the Silver Cup, Victor Weyrich. This is the third time this season that Chamoniard has set the best time in the category on theAston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 from Racing Spirit of Léman. In the Silver Cup, Weyrich beat Ricardo van der Ende (BMW M4 GT4 #17 – L'Espace Bienvenue), Gaël Castelli (Audi R8 LMS GT4 #111 – CSA Racing), Thomas Drouet (Mercedes-AMG GT4 #88 – Akkodis ASP ) and Lonni Martins (Audi R8 LMS GT4 #6 – Team Fullmotorsport).

In Pro-Am, behind Jim Pla, Étienne Cheli (Toyota GR Supra GT4 #9 – CMR), Simon Gachet (Mercedes-AMG GT4 #81 – Akkodis ASP) and Grégory Guilvert (Audi R8 LMS GT4 #42 – Saintéloc Racing) beat the title candidates with Éric Trémoulet, second in the provisional classification , in 5th place in the Pro-Am. As for the championship leader Nicolas Cheers (Alpine A110 GT4 #36 – CMR), he will start from 9th place in the category this Saturday evening.

In the Am Cup, where only one point separated the two crews leading the championship, Christophe Hamon did well by claiming the bonus point for pole position in the category. Associated with Michaël Blanchemain with the #8 Audi R69 LMS of Team Fullmotorsport, the reigning champion therefore returned to a perfect tie with Laurent Coubard and Jean-Charles Rédélé (Alpine A110 GT4 #76 – Bodemer Auto), fifth in Am Cup in this session.

Between the two candidates for the title, we found Gwenaël Delomier (Alpine A110 GT4 #110 – CMR), Aleksander Vaintrub (Mercedes-AMG GT4 #188 – NM Racing) and Kévin Jimenez (Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 – GPA Racing).

A few minutes later, it was Benjamin Lessennes (BMW M4 GT4 #17 – L'Espace Bienvenue) who was the fastest during the second qualifying session, thus taking pole position overall and in the Silver Cup for the Sunday race. After the Silver pole of his teammate Victor Weyrich, Romain Carton (Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 #74 – Racing Spirit of Léman) took second place ahead of Hugo Chevalier (Mercedes-AMG GT4 #87 – Akkodis ASP) and the already champion Erwan Bastard (Audi R8 LMS GT4 #14 – Saintéloc Racing).

In Pro-Am, Olivier Jouffret scored important points, literally and figuratively. By being the fastest in the category, the driver of the Mercedes-AMG of Team Jouffruit by Vic'Team took the bonus point for pole and thus keeps the pressure on Rudy Servol, second in Pro-Am in this session with the 'Alpine of the CMR team. Still in the running for the crown, Alban Varutti (Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport #10 – AVR-Avvatar) took third place in the category.

Finally, it's David Levy (Alpine A110 GT4 #110 – CMR) who took pole position in the Am Cup ahead of Cyril Saleilles (Audi R8 LMS GT4 #27 – Saintéloc Racing) and Angélique Detavernier (Audi R8 LMS GT4 #777 – CSA Racing). In 6th place in the Am Cup, Michael Blanchemain (Audi R8 LMS #69 – Team Fullmotorsport) was one place ahead of Jean-Charles Rédélé (Alpine A110 GT4 #76 – Bodemer Auto) in the fight between the candidates for the title.
