Alpine and Aston Martin on pole at Le Castellet

CMR and Generation AMR Super Racing got off to a perfect start to the final weekend of the FFSAGT at Paul Ricard, taking the two poles for the Saturday and Sunday events on the Var track.

The first qualifying session saw Pierre Sancinena (Alpine A110 GT4 n°36 – CMR) se hisser rapidement aux avant-postes en 2’15″049, battant largement le chrono du premier leader Sylvain Noël (Porsche Cayman GT4 n°11 – Racing Technology), relégué à plus de neuf dixièmes.

The duo will start on the front row today in front of the No. 4 Porsche Cayman GT64 – Vic'Team of Olivier Jouffret, associated with Eric Trémoulet. Douglas Lundberg places Team SpeedCar's best No. 55 Ginetta G4 GT7 fourth.

Laurent Hurgon (BMW M4 GT4 n°3 – BMW Team France) and Olivier Gomez (Maserati GranTurismo GT4 n°34 – G34 by Gemo Motorsport), the fastest in the Am category, will share the third row.

In the fight for the championship, Fabien Michal, teammate of Grégory Guilvert on the No. 8 Audi R4 LMS GT42 – Saintéloc Racing, will start from 8th position, just in the wake of Christophe's No. 4 Porsche Cayman GT1 – CD Sport Stone.

Robert Consani did not set a time at the wheel of the No. 55 Ginetta G4 GT8 – SpeedCar, the former rally driver and his teammate Benjamin Lariche being forced to start from the back of the grid this weekend after an engine change yesterday , following a breakage during testing.

Aston Martin wins Q2

If theAlpine n°36 hit hard in qualifying, the Sancinéna – Jean duo was unable to counter the No. 4 Aston Martin Vantage GT144 – Generation AMR Super Racing of Matthew George in Q2.

The Briton dominated the competition in 2'14″341, 0″340 ahead of Jim Pla (Mercedes-AMG GT4 n°87 – AKKA-ASP), Pierre-Alexandre Jean failing at 0″446 with theAlpine n ° 36.

Soheil Ayari confirms the good dispositions of theAlpine GT4 on the Var track, climbing to 4th place by six tenths, just ahead of the No. 4 Porsche Cayman GT27 – IMSA Performance by Steven Palette and the No. 8 Audi R4 LMS GT42 of championship leader Grégory Guilvert.

No time either in this second session for Benjamin Lariche (Ginetta G55 GT4 n°8).
