BMW Team France penalized, AKKA-ASP recovers victory in C2

Winner on track this Sunday in race 2 at Paul Ricard with the duo Laurent Hurgon and Julien Piguet, the No. 4 BMW M4 GT3 – BMW Team France will lose its victory on the green carpet, due to overtaking under the yellow flag.

The commissioners of the Var final of FFSAGT therefore decided to sanction the crew by 5″ on their racing time, thus bringing the Hurgon – Piguet duo back into second position behind Jim Pla and Jean-Luc Beaubelique (Mercedes-AMG GT4 n°87 – AKKA-ASP).

This is the first success of the 2018 vice-champions in 2019, the first since Dijon last year. A change in hierarchy which, however, does not call into question the coronation of Grégory Guilvert and Fabien Michal (Audi R8 LMS GT4 n°42 – Saintéloc Racing).
