CMR changes its crews with the arrival of Nicolas Prost and Gaël Castelli

The Classic and Modern Racing (CMR) team promises to be one of the teams to beat in the French Championship FFSAGT in 2020. The structure based in Alès (Gard), Team champion in 2019, is starting again on new bases with two new crews.

After a notable return with a Alpine the previous season, Nicolas Cheers joins the CMR team. The son of the four-time world champion Formula 1 Alain Prost will be associated with the gentleman driver Christopher Campbell, seventh in the Pro-Am in 2019 in a BMW M4 and winner of the FFSA GT in 2007.

“The level will be very high but we will do everything to defend our chances”, announces Nicolas Prost, who will therefore be present at the launch of the season at the Nogaro Easter Cups (Gers, April 10-12).

The second Alpine A110 GT4 will be entrusted to a certain Gaël Castelli. The latter returns to FFSA GT witha coronation in the one-design competition Alpine Elf Europa Cup. He will team up with Rodolphe Wallgreen, Bronze driver and French FFSA GT Champion in Am in 2018.

“We both have very good memories, especially with the very first victory of the new FFSA GT era at Nogaro in 2017 (on a Ginetta), indicates Rodolphe Wallgren. From now on, the ambition is to continue on this path! »

An objective confirmed by the words of Gaël Castelli. “ Our main objective for 2020 is to be as efficient and consistent as possible in order to compete for the title. »

CMR Team Manager, Charly Bourachot, can't wait for the season to start. “It’s great to be able to hire two Alpine for these four very good drivers in a championship as tough as the French FFSA GT championship. The crews both show a good burst of speed, and should quickly perform well this season. »
