Goodbye Lédenon, hello Paul-Ricard! Or rather hello again, because the FFSA French Circuit Championship will return for the second time in 2020 to the Var for the season finale, scheduled for November 20 to 22.
In addition to GT4, the majority of support races will be travel, namely Formula 4, Renault Clio Cup France, the Funyo Sport Proto Sprint and Endurance Cup, the Caterham Cup as well as the Mitjet International. This will make a nice total of 18 races!
Compared to the previous visit dating from the beginning of October, where the drivers had the circuit F1 (5,8 km), the vehicles will this time run on the 3,8 km version of the track, including the North chicane in the Mistral straight.
“The FFSA French Circuit Championship is the benchmark for circuit motorsport in France. As such, this event benefits from exemptions allowing professional sports to continue. recalls Laurent Gaudin, the General Manager of the FFSA French Circuit Championship.
“We of course consulted the competitors of the FFSAGT, but also the operators of permanent and semi-permanent support races. Everyone expressed their desire for this already difficult season to, despite everything, see a final. We have therefore, with our partners and the Paul Ricard circuit, base of the SRO Race Center, organized the final of the FFSA French Circuit Championship in conditions adapted to the current health situation. »
Among these new conditions, note the negative antigen test for Covid-19 to be presented at the entrance to the circuit for any person essential to the organization of the race as well as the competitors.
