The Jean-Lémeret duo imposesAlpine – CMR at Nogaro in race 1

Having become one of the most represented brands on the track in 2019, Alpine didn't wait long to score a first victory this year in FFSAGT, with the success in race 1 at Nogaro of Pierre-Alexandre Jean and Stéphane Lémeret (Alpine A110 GT4 n°36 – CMR).

The rain came to the party about half an hour before the start, forcing the race management to declare the track wet, without the teams using rain rubber.

After two training laps, the peloton was finally released and Fabien Michal (Audi R8 LMS GT4 n°42 – Saintéloc Racing) who retained the advantage over Alain Ferté (Alpine A110 n°35 – Bodemer Auto).

The tandem is followed by Robert Consani (Alpine A110 n°8 – SpeedCar), Stéphane Lémeret (Alpine A110 n°36) and Rudy Servol (Alpine A110 n°111 – CMR). The order does not change for this top 5 during the first stint, the Audi from Saint-Etienne remaining in front of the armada Alpine.

It is the changes of drivers which will upset the hierarchy since Pierre-Alexandre Jean, relay of Stéphane Lémeret on theAlpine n°36 – CMR, takes the advantage after the pitlane passage phase, emerging in front of Grégory Guilvert (Audi R8 n°42).

This duo has widened the gap on the competition since Benjamin Lariche (Alpine A110 n°8) is more than ten seconds behind, just ahead of the BMW M4 GT4 n°17 – Ricardo van der Ende's Welcome Space.

The race was then neutralized by a Full Course Yellow following the exit of the track of the n°55 Ginetta G4 GT72 – Schatz Lestienne of Erwan Bastard. The procedure is followed by the entry into action of the safety car, thus bringing together the entire peloton.

Released a little more than 7′ from the finish, Pierre-Alexandre Jean remains in the lead ahead of Grégory Guilvert and builds up a small lead sufficient to secure the first victory of the season, the second in a row for the former F4 driver, who dominated the final 2018 event at Paul Ricard.

The podium is completed by the French champion tandem Guilvert – Michal and theAlpine A110 n°8 from Consani – Lariche. Ricardo van der Ende (BMW M4 n°17) and Stéphane Tribaudini (Alpine A110 n°111) enter the top 5.

Arthur Rougier places first Mercedes-AMG GT4 n°187 – CD Sport in sixth position. In Am, victory goes to Porsche 718 Cayman n°10 – AGS Events by Nicolas Gomar and Julien Lambert.
