  • Under the spotlights of the Paul-Ricard circuit, Enzo Joulié and Étienne Cheli left nothing to chance in the Silver category. Big winner of the general classification, the duo of Toyota GT Supra GT4 Evo N°9 from Matmut Evolution dominated its category since the first Silver competitors arrived 7e with Nelson Panciatici and Loris Cabirou, on theAlpine A110 GT4 from the CMR team more than 15 seconds from the lead.
  • With this result, Enzo Joulié and Étienne Cheli have not said their last word against Ricardo van der Ende and Benjamin Lessennes (BMW M4 GT4 N°17 – L'Espace Bienvenue). Arriving 26 points behind the leaders in Silver, the Matmut Evolution duo came back to just 9 lengths thanks to the double pole position and this victory while their opponents ranked 5e of the category in the night of Castellet.
  • If Enzo Joulié and Étienne Cheli win again this Sunday (Race 2 at 16:20 p.m.), Ricardo van der Ende and Benjamin Lessennes will absolutely have to finish in 2e place if they want to be crowned for the second time in the Silver Cup after 2020.

Suspense in Pro-Am

  • In Pro-Am, nothing is also done a few hours before the grand final. Second overall, just under 5 seconds behind the winners, Grégory Guilvert and Christophe Hamon (Audi R8 LMS GT4 No. 42 – Saintéloc Racing) were the big beneficiaries of the penalty from Joran Leneutre and Pascal Huteau (Alpine A110 GT4 Evo N°110 – Autosport GP LS Group Performance).
  • Initially first to take the checkerboard, Joran Leneutre and Pascal Huteau were caught by the patrol after the finish. The cause ? A pit stop that was too short cost them a 13-second penalty, dropping to 4e general's place, 3e in Pro-Am. This therefore suited the Saintéloc duo to whom the category victory went. A first since Race 2 at Magny-Cours last May.
  • With this success, they have moved back to within 5 points of Olivier Jouffret and Éric Trémoulet (Mercedes-AMG GT4 N°64 – Vic’Team). In the event of another victory this Sunday, Grégory Guilvert and Christophe Hamon will be assured of the title.
  • In Am, there were no surprises. Already titled since Lédenon two weeks ago, Laurent Hurgon and Alain Ferté (Alpine A110 GT4 N°55 – Autosport GP LS Group Performance) won in the category thanks to their 5e place in general.
