Frédéric Caprasse wins race 1 in FFSA Tourisme

At the end of a tough fight between his Peugeot 308 RC from JSB Compétition and the BMW M2 CS Racing – VSF Sports of poleman Steven Palette, Frédéric Caprasse emerged as winner of the first race of the FFSA Tourisme at Magny-Cours.

However, having made a mistake shortly before the halfway mark at Estoril, Caprasse patiently caught up with the leading BMW, carrying his attack into the Estoril curve on the last lap, to win ahead of Palette and Lucas Frayssinet (Alpine A110 – Chazel Technologie Course).

The latter took advantage of the collision between Ricardo van der Ende (BMW M2 CS Racing – L'Espace Bienvenue) and Florian Briché (Peugeot 308 RC – JSB) just before Adelaide, then the incident between Jean-Laurent Navarro (Peugeot 308 RC – JSB) and Kévin Ropars (Peugeot 308 RC – Ropars Racing Team) to get on the podium.

In TCA1, Florent Grizaud (Peugeot RCZ RC – GPA Racing) dominates Daniel Saunier (Peugeot RCZ RC – GM Sport), after the mechanical problems of Julien Jacob-Cano (Peugeot RCZ RC – Runner for Ever), Jacky Gautier converting for his part his pole in TCA2 in victory over his Renault Clio Cup IV.

Viny Beltramelli (Peugeot 208 RC – Ropars Racing Team) wins the TC Light category. A qualification (in progress) and a second confrontation, from 16:10 p.m., are on the menu this Sunday.
