GT FFSA – C1: ART GP takes place in Navarra

Parti en pole position, Grégoire Demoustier a enchaîné les tours de qualification au volant de la MP4-12C n°12 de l’équipe ART Grand Prix en début de course pour se créer une avance de plus de 22 secondes avant de passer aux stands pour céder sa place à Ulric Amado. Le Portugais n’a pas tremblé et permet à l’écurie de Frédéric Vasseur de décrocher une nouvelle victoire dans la catégorie. La Porsche 911 GT3 R n°2 pilotée par Henry Hassid et Anthony Beltoise termine à la deuxième place. Le duo du Pro GT by Alméras en profite donc pour s’emparer de la première place provisoire au Championnat puisque la paire Panis-Debard était contrainte à l’abandon à six minutes du drapeau à damier suite à un problème sur une roue.

Stéphane Ortelli and David Hallyday scored their second podium of the season after starting from ninth place on the starting grid. Absent from the two races at Magny-Cours following an exit from the track by Laurent Pasquali in practice, the Pasquali-Perera duo finished at the foot of the podium just in front of the Ferrari 458 n°16 of Fabien Barthez and Morgan Moullin-Traffort, although second in the first qualifying session.

For his first race in the French GT FFSA Championship, David Monti, who replaces Jean-Claude Police alongside Laurent Cazenave, was well on his way to achieving a good result. However, he had to retire after 21 minutes of racing following a mechanical problem in the No. 911 Porsche 3 GT3 R of Pro GT by Alméras.
