GT FFSA – Ferrari leads the pack in Dijon

The Ferrari F458 from Team Sofrev-ASP started their French season in the best possible way, with three podiums from the first round of the 2012 GT Tour thanks to Olivier Panis – Eric Debard (twice) and Ludovic Badey – Jean Luc Beaubelique. The first named therefore lead the way in the championship, but it is now a victory that the ex-driver wants F1 and the 2009 French GT champion, in clear recovery after two difficult seasons. Panis did not hide his optimism at the beginning of the month, in Lédenon, recalling that last year, the F458 had shown itself to be very comfortable on the demanding Burgundian circuit; Olivier Pla notably took pole.

The 2011 French champion Laurent Pasquali, associated this year with the returning Frank Perera on Porsche 997 GT3 R, obviously doesn't see it that way. The Pro GT by Alméras duo is only four lengths behind the leaders and their complementarity became evident during the opening round. Let's also remember that the pair Stéphane Ortelli – David Hallyday had a convincing victory here last year. Very discreet in Lédenon, the drivers of Team Audi France know that they no longer have much room for error. The Saintéloc team also showed the competitiveness of the new R8 LMS ultra by winning in Gard, thanks to Paul Lamic and Grégory Guilvert. ART Grand Prix (McLaren MP4/12C) and Sébastien Loeb racing (Mercedes SLS AMG) arrive in Dijon in the position of serious outsiders…

As with each GT Tour event, numerous free activities await the public in the paddock: bouncy castles, simulators, BMX shows, etc. The GT drivers will also be available during the two planned signing sessions. Finally, several Renault Historic F1 cars will carry out demonstrations during the weekend, to mark the 40th anniversary of the Dijon-Prenois circuit.

Price 1 day 15 euros; weekend 20 euros. Free for children under 12.
