GT Tour – Ide and Moullin-Traffort on pole at Spa

The Belgian Audi Club Team WRT came to confront the elite of the French GT this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium with two crews that were scary on paper: Enzo Ide and André Lotterer in the No. 8 R5 LMS Ultra and Benoît Tréluyer – Yves Weerts. The two winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2014 will also be lined up for the 24 Hours of Spa in the same team, which made this French GT race a dress rehearsal for the Belgian team. And the latter performed well since Ide took pole in the first race. He is ahead of Ferrari 458 Italia n°1 de Philippe Giauque et la Porsche 911 du Team IMSA Performance led by Raymond Narac. Yves Weerts, Benoît Tréluyer's teammate, will start last.

For the second race, it will be the Ferrari of reigning champion Morgan Moullin-Traffort which will start from pole. The Team Sofrev-ASP driver beat another Italian car, that of Soheil Ayari (Team Duqueine) and the Audi R8 of André Lotterer. The Germans of Sébastien Loeb Racing will start 5th and 6th in this second round, with the duos Roland Bervillé – Anthony Beltoise and Henry Hassid – Mike Parisy who caught up after a complicated first qualification concluded in 13th and 16th places for the residents of the stable of the nine-time champion of the world of rallies. Benoît Tréluyer set the 11th time. Note that the No. 30 Speedcar Audi, which was damaged yesterday during testing, did not take part in this morning's sessions.

The first race will start today at 18:45 p.m.
