GT Tour – Saintéloc in the starting blocks for Le Mans

Saintéloc will be present this weekend at Le Mans for the opening of the 2013 GT Tour. The Saint-Etienne team will defend its colors in the Championship and the Coupe de France GT FFSA with three Audi R8 LMS ultras. Twice winner in 2012, at Lédenon and Magny-Cours, and just off the podium in the Team Trophy, Saintéloc Racing will try to do even better this year. In the French Championship, the two cars lined up will wear the colors of Team Saintéloc Racing BR Performance. The first R8 LMS ultra will be driven by Grégory Guilvert, a team loyalist, now associated with David Hallyday, an Audi specialist. “With Greg and David, we will aim for the title” confides Sébastien Chetail, the boss of Saintéloc. “We will have to see how feasible it is. We are not an official or semi-official team, but the goal is to win. We have very good crews. Greg and David are surely one of the most beautiful duos we have had in the French GT FFSA Championship. »

The second Audi R8 will be entrusted to Matthieu Jaminet, winner of the RCZ Racing Cup and beneficiary of the scholarship Peugeot GT Academy, which will be supported by Jean-Marc Quintois. “We hope from Jean-Marc that he will take a real step forward” explains the boss. “As for Matthieu, he will be in the discovery phase with less 'sprint' races. He's going to have to learn tire management, strategy? We hope that they will form a great pair. The idea is to do what Greg was able to do in recent years, that is to say hits. If we manage to get into the Top 5 several times that will be good, but first we have to put all things in order. » Finally, in the Coupe de France GT FFSA, Franck Zattera and Fabrice Rossello, two novices, will be on track. “The objective is to finish the races without encountering pitfalls, without being caught in accidents” adds Sébastien Chetail. “Firstly, you have to ride to accumulate the kilometers and gain experience. It is not pure performance that is sought. »

Alongside the Championship and the French GT FFSA Cup, Saintéloc will always be present in Peugeot RCZ Racing. The objective will be clear: the Drivers and Teams titles, as in 2012. But this time, the Stéphanois hope to achieve a double blow with the GT?
