GT Tour – Who will take the lead at mid-season?

After the relocated meeting of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, the GT Tour returns to French territory with the fourth round of the 2014 calendar on the Val de Vienne route. The stable IMSA Performance of Raymond Narac and Nicolas Armindo will appear as leader of the general classification and will want to do everything to maintain their position at mid-season. With 89 units, the duo of Porsche 911 GT3 R is currently ten points ahead of Sébastien's Audi R8 LMS ultra Loeb Racing by Henry Hassid? Mike Parisy and the Saintéloc Racing sister car of David Hallyday and Grégory Guilvert. The latter will want to continue their good series in 2014, having scored points in all the rounds contested so far.

However, it is important not to neglect the Ferrari 458 Italia on the route of the Vienne. The Italian Sofrev-ASP car from Moullin-Traffort – Giauque won at Spa and the team remains on two successes in the last two visits to this circuit. Ludovic Badey and Jean-Luc Beaubelique, who will compete at home, had experienced the joys of victory here two years ago and will want to repeat their performance from 2012. It remains to be seen whether a seventh different crew will come out on top during the seventh race on Saturday, or if one of the first six winners in 2014 will make the pass of two. This with the aim of taking the lead at the halfway point of the championship before a break of almost two months and the return of the GT Tour in September to Magny-Cours in Nièvre.

The first practice sessions will begin on Friday before the first race on Saturday at 19:05 p.m. and the second round on Sunday from 13:45 p.m.
