Big day for Honda in the Japanese capital. On the sidelines of the Tokyo Auto Salon, the Japanese manufacturer lifted the veil on its concept car developed for the national Grand Touring championship: the Super GT. If it had previously used the NSX for the series, the Japanese brand decided to rely on the Civic to give birth to the Civic Type R-GT. Will it still be used in the future?

The GT500 technical regulations for the 2024 season have not yet been officially set. However, discussions are underway between GTA (GT Association) and the three Japanese manufacturers entered in Super GT: Toyota, Nissan and Honda. So this is really just a concept model. In fact, no technical information such as specifications have been announced.

As a reminder, Honda participates in the GT500 category of the SUPER GT series with a front-engined Honda NSX which has not existed on the market since 2020. The manufacturer won the Drivers (Naoki Yamamoto / Tadasuke Makino) and Teams (Team Kunimitsu) GT500 in 2020.
