Kyalami joins the Intercontinental GT Challenge

After Bathurst, Spa, Suzuka and Laguna Seca, the Intercontinental GT Challenge will travel to a new destination in 2019 with South Africa and Kyalami.

The track located near Johannesburg is particularly known for having hosted the F1 between 1967 and 1985, then in 1992 and 1993. The 9 Hours of Kyalami have long been a flagship round of world endurance, notably as part of the World Sports Car Championship in 1974 or the mid-80s.

The event counting towards the Intercontinental GT Challenge will also be organized over a duration of nine hours and will be held on November 2 and 3 as the series finale.

Also note the move of the American round from October to March/April, the exact date still to be confirmed.

Intercontinental GT Challenge 2019 Calendar:

Bathurst 12 Hours (February 2-3)

8 Hours of California (March/April)

24 Hours of Spa (July 27-28)

10 Hours of Suzuka (August 24-25)

9 Hours of Kyalami (November 2-3)
