The FIA GT World Cup returns to Macau under certain conditions

Canceled in 2020 due to restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, the FIA GT World Cup Macau should return to the Guia route this year, the date of 17th and the 21th of November having been confirmed by the last World Motor Sport Council in Monaco this Thursday.

A possibility expressed subject to the evolution of the health situation, since the FIA indicates that “the event will only take place if the requirement to undergo mandatory quarantine upon arrival in Macau is waived first. A deadline has been agreed for the decision between the FIA and the local national sporting authority, the Automobile General Association Macao-China (AAMC). »

The last edition of the FIA GT World Cup was won in 2019 by Raffaele Marciello on the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo – GruppeM at the cost of fierce resistance to Porsche 911 GT3 R – ROWE Racing by Laurens Vanthoor and Earl Bamber.
