Equipped with a 8-liter twin-turbo V3,8, the MP4-12C GT3 is preparing to make its competitive debut with CRS Racing in Blancpain Endurance Series, during the Navarre round which will take place on May 22.
Entrusted to Olivier Turvey, reserve pilot of McLaren F1 in 2010, and Alvaro Parente, the new weapon of the British manufacturer will also be visible at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (July 30 and 31) as well as at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Martin Whitmarsh specifies that it will be the technique, and not the pure performance of the car, which will make the difference. “ McLaren has racing in its blood and it is only natural that it seeks to make the MP4-12C GT3 the most reliable, efficient and easy-to-drive car. », Comments the McLaren director. “ But each car on the grid has the same performance with the regulations, we will stand out with the technical specifications. »
