Audi has revealed the program for its new R8 LMS. The German GT will make its debut this March 28 in VLN and will be present at the 34 Hours of Nürburgring and Spa.

The new Audi R8 LMS ready for its track debut

The new Audi R8 LMS will make its competition debut this March 28 in VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring (Germany) where the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT and Phoenix Racing will both have a model.

These two teams will be back with the GT3 at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring played on May 16 and 17. Vincent Vosse's structure will field two cars with Christopher Mies, Nico Müller, Edward Sandström, and Christer Jöns, Pierre Kaffer, Nicki Thiim. Laurens Vanthoor will be entered in both cars. The German team will be present with Christopher Haase, Christian Mamerow, René Rast, Markus Winkelhock and Marc Basseng, Marcel Fässler, Mike Rockenfeller Frank Stippler.

The fight will continue 24 Hours of Spa which will take place on July 25 and 26. Team WRT will call on René Rast, Laurens Vanthoor, Markus Winkelhock and Nico Müller, Stéphane Ortelli, Frank Stippler, while Phoenix Racing will be represented with Marcel Fässler, Christian Mamerow, Mike Rockenfeller and Christopher Haase, Christopher Mies, Nicki Thiim. `

Audi Sport clarified that the new R8 LMS would be visible in other events, citing the second VLN event scheduled for April 25 and several Blancpain Endurance Series races.
