The RCZ Racing Cup returns to Le Mans

From the RCZ Racing Cup to GT FFSA? This is the jump that Mathieu Jaminet, winner of the 2012 RCZ Racing Cup, has just made! Champion of the category at the end of an exciting season, the 18-year-old driver was rewarded with a €60 grant to access the French GT FFSA championship. It is also integrated into the Autosport Academy FFSA to have all the cards in hand to succeed. Within Team Saintéloc, he will start this weekend in the French GT championship under the colors of the RCZ GT Academy but also under the eyes of his former opponents, impatient to succeed him!

The second act of the Peugeot RCZ Racing Cup promises great fights always respecting sporting and technical fairness. Around twenty cars are expected with repeaters such as Jean-Michel Guitteaud, Florent Priez, Alban Parriaud, Patrick Fessler, the only female Marie Baus Coppens or Pierre-Etienne Chaumat. But it will also be a beginner’s ball for a certain number of people. Beginners, perhaps, but already favorites! Pierre Sancinema (3rd in the 4 French F2011 championship) is singled out among the expected values. He is registered in the junior category just like the three other newcomers: Paul Petit, defector from F4, Maxime Madelaine and Thibault Mourgues, both at JSB Compétition.

Faced with the enthusiasm of this youth, the experience and wisdom of the tireless Luc Rozentvaig could counter the predictions. He will be part of Team Clairet Sport, a newcomer to the discipline and which will field five RCZ Racing Cups including Mathieu Lambert and Jean-Marie Clairet, favorites.
A racing beast. The RCZ Racing Cup is attractive. Its shapes and technical characteristics make it a formidable weapon for exceptional weapon passes. From Imola, next round, it will be equipped, like the series RCZ, with the “facelift” including a front blade, a new bumper and headlights. An aerodynamic package that generates more front downforce. It will also benefit from an evolution in performance and will now display 260 horsepower thanks to work on the mapping.
