Lamborghini puts on a show

Sunday, the first race of the season offered incredible progress. The rain, the safety car, cars in the background? for a final victory for novice Tristan Vautier and Jean-Charles Lévy!

On his Dodge Viper (team GCR Mediaco), Vautier, former Formula driver Renault 2.0, makes the most of his opponents' mistakes. In the battle at the end of the race, Parisy, Leclerc and Briché (Lamborghini) left the track to let Vautier slip towards victory, while Amado was able to move back into second position and save the honor for Lamborghini. Morgan Moullin Trafort completes the podium for a great performance from the Vipers and the GCR Mediaco team. For the first time in FFSA GT3, the BMW Alpinas had a nice baptism with a fourth and eighth place.

On Monday, conditions improved significantly for a race where speed regained its rights. Eager to make up for it, Mike Parisy offers a performance of choice. On pole, the Lamborghini driver is the fastest and does not let go of the race lead, with Philippe Gaillard keeping the lead behind him. Lévy/Vautier, winners the day before, did not have the same luck seeing their Viper betray them in terms of transmission. Like Sunday, Amado and Dubreuil took advantage of the reliability of the Lamborghini to finish in second position, behind the supersonic duo Parisy/Gaillard. A 100% Lamborghini podium since the Tuchbant/Leclerc pair inherits third place.

Philippe Gaillard conclut avec optimisme cette première des sept étapes du championnat GT3 : « Il n?était pas évident pour moi de passer de la Porsche Cup à la Lamborghini. Je découvre le format des courses GT, et tout me plait ! » Le pilote pourra poursuivre son apprentissage à Dijon, lors du week-end du 8 mai.
